Hello! Welcome to the new Blog Battle, a weekly writing prompt competition! If you haven’t already, check out the slightly altered rules.
I’m posting this a little early so that people have lots of time to be reminded to get their #BlogBattle story out there! This week’s word is Perfect. How can you use that in a story? If you want a little start to your adventure, here’s a sentence:
“The rancid odor of spoiling meat assaulted his nose and sent his stomach to churning, but there was no way he’d let this call ruin his perfect day.”
Feel free to see what you can do with this entire sentence or start fresh! You choose. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Be sure to add a link back to this post or comment below with a link to your story so we can add it to the post! Happy Writing!
Battle 76’s “Debacle” Winner is Rachael (by default!)! Don’t forget to add the battle winner badge to your story!
- Perfect: A Poem by Candice Coates (Poem)
- An Imperfect Transition by Kristin Elise Garrett (Drama)
- Search For Thimble by E. E. Rawls (Fantasy/Mystery)
- Rough It by Lauren Gunter (Humor/Inspirational)
- Settling Accounts by David Williamson (Action/Adventure)
- Secrets of the Spokanee Ch 2 by Rachael Ritchey (Action/Adventure)
PS If I’m missing your story, just leave me a comment to let me know!

I posted this a few hours ago but forgot to drop the link here. It’s an entry for “perfect,” but I made sure to work debacle and even coconut in for added funsies.

Ha! I’m still awake. I just now got my story done and loaded, so it was good timing! AND I’m always very happy when you participate. 😀 The fact that you’re getting all those words in is awesome-sauce. 😛 How are things going?

Congrats on making a smooth transition! 🙂 Things are plugging along. I have a couple clients so far, so that’s exciting. I am trying to wrap my mind around options for getting the word out. 🙂

If we can, great, if not I’ll know it’s time to *breaks into song* let it go! 😉 Everyone is busy, lives full, moving ever forward. I’m more concerned with holding on to the friendships blogbattle has brought. 🙂
