- Have fun!
You have until the next Monday at midnight to read the submitted stories & vote for your top three. Please consider the expert use of the theme word when choosing.
Is everyone on a blogging break? It’s seemed slow in the blogosphere lately…

I am wondering, but I’m afraid I made too big of a change with blog battle and basically bumped it off everyone’s radars. I know it’s been harder to find time to read lately, too, so maybe everyone else is in the same boat. It’s hard to say. All I know is I’m feeling like blogging is in some kind of weird holding pattern. I might have to rethink blog battle again to make it something entirely new and fresh? I think it’s easier to participate in SUPER short fiction like 99words stuff, so maybe we’ll look to making the battle something more like that? Ugh. Not sure where everybody went!

Hmm. I wouldn’t reinvent the wheel just yet. It really does feel like the whole blogosphere is in a holding pattern. Maybe wait it out a bit. You had a lot of great writers participating in this. I do like your idea of maybe making the limit slightly shorter so people have time to read. (Of course I would say that being such a fan of short fiction.) 😉 Though I wouldn’t make it a strict limit and I wouldn’t do super short.

It’s at 1500 words right now. It used to be 1000. I feel like it should be really short or at least 1000…There’s just so much to do and participate in, and because I’m having trouble devoting time to it, I’m sure that doesn’t help. I figured I’d give it a month or two more and see how it goes. If nothing changes then I know I need to change. 🙂 I love the way you think, Sarah! I hope you’re starting to feel a bit better!

Yeah, maybe 1000 or under would be better. I’ll try to get something in for “Perfect”. And thank you. My head is still attached to my body so I guess I’m alright. 😉

🙂 If you feel up to it, would love to read your work. You have a special way of seeing things that I enjoy! I’m glad it’s still attached, just wish the bendy thing between head and shoulders would get better quick!

Thanks, Nita! You’re always welcome to join. 🙂 I made some big changes to the battle earlier this year and it kinda fell off everyone’s radar, but I’m trying to get it back to where it was before. I love having new people join. We’ve made some great blogging buddies through the battles!

Hey! #BlogBattle is still around! ‘Debacle’ is this week’s word. It’s not too late to write a flash of fiction. I’m here to support and share, and I hope you will too!
