I know the feeling. Not tackled DS for about two weeks now. Even behind adding stories in here 😳

And all we can collectively say is ‘It happens’ ☹️.
May The Muses remember us.
(But preferably not Terpsichore- the dancing Muse, I don’t think her contribution, albeit well meaning would be conducive to the writing process🤔)

Indeed. Although I am now up to date with BB entries I think. And know a bit more about animal science which had me recollecting my degree subjects of many moons ago when you didn’t pay fees and dare I say earned the right to be there 🥴

Yes entitlement creeps back in.
My grandson could have continued his studies at a prestigious place of learning but was told one condition was he could not have an employment during his studies. Not being from a wealthy background, how he was to manage that was not the authorities concerns.

How inclusive… doesn’t say much for the institute. Sad thing these days is rich morons seem to get all the entitlements apart from brains

Quite.

OK, here’s mine. I’ve just about got my head straight that today is Sunday. I was having a definite Saturday vibe earlier, with a side-order of post-lunch morning-after.
Somebody please wake me in time for September.

Oh, my.
So, yesterday I had a bit of a moment just before I went to bed – where’s the new BlogBattle prompt? Followed by Is Gary OK?
This morning, slightly more awake, I looked at my phone and thought, so this is Friday.
(OK, the week is messed up, I did the shopping a day early on account of the cat needing some dental work Wednesday and then a humans-only hospitable appointment Thursday.)
And now there’s a prompt that hits squarely in the middle of my “demon trader” urban fantasy stuff where the narrator’s psycho uber-witch girlfriend is fond of saying “sacrifices must be made.”
Something to think about this weekend. 🙂

Oh my! Great challenge Gary.

Haha, good with that Roger. I’ve spotted what I want to use but misplaced it. Possibly an excerpt from DS

Hunt it down Gary.
Me, I’ll have to subsume myself into one of the taverns or secret papers in my world-build for some account from an old-hand.

On it Roger. That useful search function has located four potential bits. Be interesting to see what you make of something out of the actual DS rather than the back story!
Is that old and as in you or an old hand from an ancient character fill of foreboding?

Four bits. Sounds promising Gary 😀.
After some mulling over and wandering through the Taverns of The Oakhostian (that’s the name of the empire where most action takes place) I chanced upon one veteran minor but quite important character of middle years (You met him in last October’s Blog Battle challenge word- Dream. Title ‘More Than Faith’).
For the price of a tankard or two, he’s been reflecting and musing…

Found the one I was after and it’s in preparation now finally. And nothing like a tavern wander to discover some anecdotes and rambling. I’ll try and recap that one too before you get the new one constructed

Strive on with the post Gary.
I have to get all the information told to me into 2,000 words of order now😀

Hopefully this weekend. And don’t worry if you go a few words over 😂
