Blog/Website: | https://geofflepard.com |
How long have you been a writer? | 14 years |
3 random facts about you! | Dog lover, cake baker, tintin aficionado |
What genre(s) do you write? | comedy, urban fantasy, thriller, literary, friendship, memoire, poetry, coming of age, magiacal realism |
What is your favorite BB story/entry you’ve written? What is the URL? | do I have to say? There have been so many. |
Have you published any books? Self/Indie published? Traditional? Hybrid? | yes; self/indie |
If you have published books, where can people go to buy your books? | https://www.amazon.co.uk/Geoff-Le-Pard/e/B00OSI7XA0 |
Do you plan to publish? If so, self/indie, traditional or both/hybrid? | more to come |
Who or what inspired you to start a blog and share your writing? | my tutor at University and some friends |
Any advice you could share with your fellow BBers? | don’t stop, just keep writing |
If you could write from anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why? | Not really fussed as I don’t notice my surroundings when I write. I need to be comfortable so not too hot or cold and not humid |
In your own reading, who has been your favorite protagonist? Why? What makes them stand out? | Too many: Tintin for his resilience; Peter Grant (Rivers of London) for his magic; Adrian Mole for his haplessness; Paddington for always being there; Pooh for his loyalty. |
Where are you strongest as a writer and feel like you could offer help and advice to fellow BBers? | I don’t stop, however hard writing is; I’m a fair but thorough critic; I can analyse plots for holes and suggest solutions |
Where are you weakest as a writer and would like to get more feedback and help with? | I am useless at selling myself; I tend to overwrite and so need a lot of editing! |
Share any social media links you have where you’d like to connect with fellow BBers and readers. | My blog is fine |
How did you discover BB? (If you’d care to share!) | it’s so long ago…. |
Thanks so much for sharing, Geoff!

Q&A Time
Please take a moment to ask Geoff some questions in the comments section.
Self/Indie publishing is definitely very appealing, but have you ever considered trying hybrid or traditional just for the heck of it?

I see Dog stepped aside to allow you the spotlight. Clever, as I am certain he wants to end up as the hero of your next book!

If you perchance to meet him … Geoff or Geoffles as some affectionately call him you will feel warm and fuzzy as if you have known him a lifetime; like a favourite sweater. He has a level of humour unlike any other person I have met. He is not brash, or arrogant but can be saucy and he has a twinkle found in very well read fellows from some long forgotten time. A bit of a wag. I have read several of his books and no doubt will read more if only to find who will be writing this one. I have read gentle touching pieces, raucus giggle out loud ones and very well researched straight to the point books and I am always surprised that he can write in so many different voices, and different genres at a drop of a knee. You can see by his answers he is humble and almost refuses to sell himself. So I have. Well done the man. 😎😉

I’m also useless at selling myself, Geoff! Easily the hardest part of indie publishing. How many books have you put out, now? 🙂
