Thanks, my April has not been great.. From April 5th I’ve had suspected COVID. I had a negative swab test on the 11th April, but today my temperature is 37.8 degrees.. Now in week 4 of work and gp has signed me off two more weeks. Hence I’m struggling to get focused with my writing. How are you doing Rachael?

Oh no! I’m so sorry, Marian. Will you be tested again in case the first one was wrong? Being sick is no fun on a regular day. I’m doing well. Nothing to report as not much is happening outside school work with the kids and my own online work for book design.

I’m not sure at the moment if they are going to retest, but yes this is really dragging on.
Sounds like you are doing alright! I’m trying to stay working from home but fearing having to go out into the community. These are not easy times. We are trying to do school work too and I’m trying to not get to stressed when it doesn’t go according to plan.

Definitely are not easy times. I’m sorry you’re ill on top of dealing with the anxiety we’re all feeling to some extent or another. School on top of everything else feels daunting some days, and nothing really feels consistent day to day…But there are some good things happening, too, so I’m trying not to complain! 😛

Yes trying to teach the children is not easy, especially when they won’t work.. Yes we need to focus on the positive because it s there, and keep going!

Hello, Geoff! Sorry I’m slow on getting your story up, but so happy you are here! ❤ How are your days going?

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all safe and well during these turbulent times! Look after yourselves, guys. 🙂
Here’s mine for the month, it’s a return to the happy little island of Boddi Craig: https://joshuainsole.wordpress.com/short-stories/two-thirds-of-a-watch/

Hi Joshua! We’re doing well. I’m loving that the sun has finally come to grace us with its presence. 🙂 Hopefully this means the end to snow for the season! Anything out of the ordinary come your way during this strange season of the world?

So glad to hear that you’re all well! 🙂 Yes, the weather’s gotten very nice here, too. Considering how hot it is and it’s only April, I have a feeling we’re in for a scorcher of a summer!
It seems as though everything is currently “out of the ordinary”! 😀 On lockdown, all non-essential shops closed, mandatory face masks for shopping, and so on. Small prices to pay for personal safety, though. We’re all managing fine here — looking forward to it all returning to some vague semblance of normalcy soon, though! I miss reading books in the sunshine in the park. 🙂

Quite a challenging word this month since I already had the story ready. In fact, I at first thought I was going to have to write a whole new story! But these prompt words are good at getting the creative juices flowing, and I realized I could just change one of the characters. I think that change possibly improved the story a little! Take care and stay safe!

ha! I love it that you were already prepared, but the challenge still gave you something to work through. Very cool, and I’m looking forward to reading it and trying to figure out what character you might have changed.

Hi. I really am enjoying finding ways to incorporate your prompts into a story. Never quite sure where the story is going.

I think it’s enjoyable too! You sometimes don’t know where a prompt word will take a story, giving that extra note of creativity we didn’t think we were capable of. Or, at least that’s how I feel about it. 🙂

Kudos Bella for being so quick! You make me look like I’m slacking 😱
Rachael, I’m adding these to the story prompt and my post re the prompt has just gone live too 😊 Hope you’re all feeling a bit better about things too. Not an easy time and with Covid on top too x

Gary, Ooo, I already added the two most recent ones so they’re ready.

Lol, when I arrived here it was blank and you hadn’t replied to anything. I added Dougs, came back here and you were all over it lol

lol I didn’t realize you were just at it right now, otherwise I’d have left you to it. 🙂 Sorry about that, but thank you so much for being on top of it!

I’ve saved what I did so will check tomorrow to make sure there’s no doubling up. If I do it now we’ll both end up deleting ours and end up with a blank post again 😂

Me too Simon! Last month I just squeezed in by some serious stream of conscious writing with no real plan!!!

I might have to stream of conscious this month too. 🙂

That sounds like my usual plan lol

At this rate of day flow I’m already thinking it’s heading at my usual plan too lol

Heck Doug, you’re fast off the mark! Will add this into the story post which should go live next week. I’m care taking for Rachael at present too. She’s a bit indisposed at present.

Yay! Love to read your stories, Doug! And thanks, Gary for taking care of the posts for a bit. I’m getting myself back on track, I think…just slowly. ❤

Takes time Rachael. Sadly we all have to experience losses sooner or later. I’ve had a few too so I’m glad to help out…which, of course, I should be doing anyway 🥰
