You did it! You got it in, but I was slow. Still, we’re writing! That’s a good thing. Happy new year, Gerardo!

Last minute entry from me, yet again! Hope you had a great Christmas.
Here is a link to my entry, entitled ‘Innocent?’

I do hope that those who read it find it entertaining, and maybe fellow cat owners might sympathise too!
Thanks for running the Blog Battles – hoping to have more time to write and read other blogs too next year.
Have a Happy and peaceful New Year, see you on the other side 😀

You made it on time, but I was a bit late! Sorry about that, but I’m still super glad you got one in for December! That’s the way to finish a writing year strong. 🙂 Happy new year!

Ye gods, SO sorry Rachael. Only just posted this to my neglected part of the blogosphere. I’m still in NaNo mode and suffering from mental angst at managing a full first draft around 80k. Will try and get the brain back for this month and catch up with normal duties ASAP.

No problem, Gary! There’s still plenty of time for our friends to get their stories up! I’m still reeling from a busy November w/o winning NaNo. haha

You an me both Rachael. Times just sipping past and I seem to be behind more every day. Not to mention my pc went down yesterday and nothing is sharing properly from my blog. Must be the Nightmare Before Christmas come to life!

Oh no! I hope things are going better now. It’s been days since you left this message, so I can only hope the Nightmare Before Christmas has ended!

About the same since you replied now! Stupid time should pause now and then to let me catch up! PC situation might be OK. The drive that’s stumbled isn’t the operating system one so I’ve got to disconnect the right data drive and it should boot up. I’ve just received an external cradle the dubious one can sit in. If the pc is running it might be able to read it and transfer the data to the other drive. Had to be this time of year though 🙄

Worst time of year is usually when the stuff happens. A biproduct of Murphy’s Law, perhaps?

I think you may be right there! Still, I’m going to try and sort it this weekend. I’m confident it’s not a system drive and just a data one. If I unplug it then it should boot and I can check the data drive externally…that’s a sort of plan 😳

Sounds like a good plan, and something I wouldn’t have even known to do! 🙂 I hope it works a treat!

You and me both! Haven’t got to it yet though due to Rise of Skywalker today 😊
I don’t suppose you might have any idea why my blog is not tweeting images anymore… I know the twitter card validation thing isn’t validating them as I can test the URL’s in their app. I also know my current theme is retired so that might be part of the issue…other than that I’m stumped 🤕

This excerpt from Jaye’s book perfectly depicts the word innocent, and I still get chills every time I read it!

Another great word this month! All I had to do was add a NOT in front of it…. 😉 So here’s mine:

Nice! I’m not so innocent myself, so it’ll be fun to see what you’ve written! ❤ Happy holidays, A!

I *really* struggled to keep this one under the word limit! I wanted to add so much more, but I guess that’s the beauty of the short story, eh? Anyway, hope you’re all doing great, and aren’t too exhausted from NaNoWriMo!
Here’s mine for this month (the last for 2019!): https://joshuainsole.wordpress.com/short-stories/dont-let-it-feed/
I just wanted to say, it’s been lovely reading all your stories since I joined WP back in the summer. Hope you all have a great Christmas and NYE — looking forward to the stories we’ll tell in 2020! (Speaking of which, I still need to read some of those from November — couldn’t find the time with NaNo…)

NaNo does slow everything else down. 🙂 You are doing awesome at staying up with BlogBattle, though! I can’t believe this is the last month of 2019. Where did the months go? I am hoping I won’t slack on writing my battle story this month. Fingers crossed!

Thanks very much! I know, the year’s flown by… As has the decade! I still think that the 90s were ten years ago… Well, here’s to the 20s! 🙂 Looking forward to reading it! 🙂
