Here I am, squeaking in at the last moment. I wrote this a week and a half ago, but haven’t had time to edit until today.
Doesn’t matter. Lambing is done. 🙂 I can blog about that tomorrow.

Lambing! How fun and exhausting and stinky and fun! 😉

Yup. In due course I shall blog a set of gratuitously cute lamb photos.
This year we have only done two ewes – just not enough grazing to let the flock grow bigger. Yesterday, ewe number one delivered twins just after dawn, and number two produced a singleton after lunch, so a full night’s sleep is now feasible.
As we discovered – it doesn’t matter whether we lamb them all or just a sub-set, until the last one is done it’s nearly as tiring either way.

haha I’ve never lambed, but I have a friend who raises goats and it’s much the same. 🙂 My aunt lambs and they always have to call in help from their kids. because they have a pretty good-size flock. They live too far away for us to come help, though. 😦 I’d love to read about your lambing! ❤

Speaking of doing humour… I did a thing that might cause a smile or two, in the right conditions (one bottle of wine down, just before the point where you tell everyone you love them but before the rattling snoring). https://o4fsbryntin.wordpress.com/2019/05/19/blogbattle-airtight-case/

I’m sorry… I can’t stop! I have diarrhea of the typing fingers, spewing endless muck about this month’s topic. But I promise you, a touch of cold, honest criticism should finally plug me up… 😉
No, seriously, I will limit myself to two entries per month. I’m a senior citizen now, so smaller portions are a must…

First let me apologize that my participation will be minimal this first week. Our internet “died” and the technician won’t be out until next week. So I’m not snubbing anybody, I’ve just fallen off the net for a while!
But I did get my story done (yay!), so here it is:

Nightmare! We rather take internet for granted these days so when it goes you soon realise how much it’s used for! Hope you get it sorted soon and the first entry update should be Tuesday next week. That said I’m off to read it now 😊

Hey, odd question. Do you ever travel to Ireland? How difficult is that for Brits?
LikeLike
No I never have but I would like to. It’s easy right now but in future it depends on Brexit
LikeLiked by 1 person
Ahhh, will Brexit effect UK’s position in N. Ireland?
LikeLike
Not Northern Ireland, but the rest of it is a possibility. It’s Ireland that’s caused the whole thing to break down really
LikeLike
ahhhh. Interesting. I know they are still part of EU in Ireland proper, and N. Ireland is with UK…
LikeLike
Yes. This is what’s causing the issue. There can’t be a hard border between the two
LikeLike
Would not go over well, I’m sure. As it is, it looks like some towns and properties run on both sides of the line.
LikeLike
Well yes that’s the thing. It’s about how the border would work, a hard border would be bad and a soft border would be a way into the UK for anyone in the EU

🙂 I happen to like the nickname for my fellow English speakers, so I’m glad. It doesn’t really work to give us an abbreviated nickname over here…I guess that’s why we have “American” even though that covers two continents. haha What might our nickname be otherwise??? What do you call us? Maybe I don’t want to know. lol

lol I suppose it depends on the context. From the Revolutionary War on, that name has stuck. What was the original context? I really don’t know…aside from Yankee Doodle and his macaroni hat. hahaha

And that’s very cool. Have you been practicing your Irish accent lately? You know, just in case you go back and visit the ol’ family haunts again? 🙂

I’m not sure I’d know where to start! It was my grandads side and we lost him before I even left school. I guess if I researched a proper family tree it might shed some light on that. Be fascinating to visit where he grew up though. 🤔
